Pink slip (eSafety) checks in Dubbo
A pink slip is the NSW safety check on a vehicle. Workshops approved to do them charge no more than the maximum fee set by the NSW Government.
If the car fails, you may need repairs first. Ask the workshop how they handle that.
What it usually covers
- Checks of brakes, tyres, lights, steering and suspension
- A report on what passes and what does not
- A re-check after repairs
- Basic repairs, if you want them done in the same visit
What changes the price
- Vehicle type, such as a light vehicle, trailer or motorcycle
- The amount of repair work needed to pass
- Whether you also need a blue slip
Ask the mechanic
- Is the inspection fee within the NSW maximum?
- What happens if the car fails?
- How long is a pink slip valid for?
Request quotes
If your car is old or has known issues, say so. It helps the workshop quote repairs along with the check.
